Warwickshire have bolstered their squad by signing India spinner Manav Suthar for two County Championship games in 2026.

The left-arm off-spinner recently made his Test debut against Afghanistan, where he claimed 6-33 in the first innings and 1-29 in the second. Before signing, Suthar had captured 136 first-class wickets at an average of 24.89. His first appearance for the Bears could come against Yorkshire at Scarborough on Friday. ## Suthar expresses excitement Manav Suthar shared his enthusiasm about joining Warwickshire for the next two County Championship matches. 'I'm incredibly excited to be joining Warwickshire for the next two County Championship games,' he told the club website. 'The team have started the season very well, so I'm hoping that I can play a part in helping them in their push for the title.' ## Warwickshire's title ambitions Warwickshire currently sit second in Division One, five points behind leaders Nottinghamshire after six matches. 'We've played some good red-ball cricket already this season and Manav will bring a new aspect to our bowling attack,' said Warwickshire performance director James Thomas. 'It shows how highly he's rated in India after his selection to their Test team last week, so it's going to be great to have him around the group.'
