Taskin Ahmed has become the leading pace bowler for Bangladesh in recent seasons, renowned for his sharp pace and noticeable seam movement. He regularly delivers at an average speed of around 145 kmph, with his fastest recorded delivery reaching 148 kmph in 2017—making him Bangladesh’s second-fastest bowler ever, surpassed only by Rubel Hossain. His ability to take multiple wickets in an innings, including four or five-wicket hauls, often disrupts the opposition’s momentum, establishing him as a vital member of the national squad across all formats. Born on April 3, 1995, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Taskin grew up in a strict household that did not initially support his cricketing ambitions. Despite strict family rules discouraging his involvement in the sport, his deep passion for cricket drove him to defy expectations. Today, he stands as a premier fast bowler representing Bangladesh on the international stage. He completed his schooling at King Khaled Institute before pursuing higher education at the American International University of Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed was born into a Muslim family and remains a practicing Muslim.
