Slavia Prague were fined £357,000 and ordered to play four games without fans after their derby against Sparta Prague was abandoned.
Derby abandoned in stoppage time The Czech league derby between Slavia Prague and Sparta Prague was abandoned in the seventh minute of stoppage time. Slavia were leading 3-2 when hundreds of home supporters invaded the pitch at the Fortuna Arena. The match was called off as flares and pyrotechnics were thrown onto the field. Sparta goalkeeper Jakub Surovcik appeared to be struck by a flare thrown from close range. ## Slavia Prague sanctions imposed Slavia Prague were handed a 10 million Czech crown fine, which equals £357,000, as punishment for the abandoned derby. They were also ordered to play their next four home games behind closed doors. Additionally, their match versus Sparta Prague was recorded as a 3-0 forfeit win for Sparta. As a result of the sanctions, Slavia Prague’s lead at the top of the Czech First League shrank to five points over Sparta.
