The PCB banned Muzarabani for two years after he left PSL commitments for an IPL deal with KKR in 2026. Muzarabani was signed as a replacement player for PKR 11 million but departed after securing a KKR contract. The PSL imposed the ban to uphold contractual integrity and protect the league’s professional standards. Muzarabani’s sanction is twice as long as the previous PSL mid-season IPL switch penalty in 2025. Sri Lanka’s Dasun Shanaka also switched to the IPL mid-season after PSL agreement, with no penalty announced yet.
