Dom Bess, the talented off-spinner from Yorkshire, has extended his deal with the club, committing to the end of the 2028 season. This significant development comes at a crucial juncture for the team, with Bess set to play a pivotal role in their upcoming matches. Dom Bess, 25, has been a key component of Yorkshire's bowling attack since joining the club in 2017. A product of the Lord's Taverners' Young Cricketers programme, Bess made his first-class debut for Somerset at the age of 17, taking 3-72 against Glamorgan. He has since established himself as one of the most skilled off-spinners in the country, claiming 350 first-class wickets at an impressive average of 32.35. Bess has also represented England on four occasions, taking 12 wickets at an average of 35.33 in Test cricket. Yorkshire are currently enjoying a solid season, sitting second in the County Championship Division One table. The team has been bolstered by the emergence of young talent, including England pace bowler Matthew Fisher, who has taken 30 wickets in just 10 matches this summer.
