Born on November 8, 2000, in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, Kartik Tyagi is a 25-year-old right-arm fast bowler who delivers deliveries at a brisk pace. He dons jersey number 26 while representing his team and currently plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Standing at 6 feet tall, he contributes to the Uttar Pradesh domestic cricket squad across various tournaments. In October 2017, he participated in the FC match between Uttar Pradesh and Railways, followed by a List A fixture against Delhi in February 2018. Hailing from a modest farming village in Uttar Pradesh, Tyagi grew up in a household where his father actively encouraged him to pursue cricket instead of agriculture. His bowling technique closely resembles that of Australian speedster Brett Lee, who served as a major inspiration during his formative cricketing years. Tyagi made an early entrance into professional cricket, debuting in first-class matches at just 16 years old. After taking a pause due to recurring injuries and mental exhaustion, he has resumed playing and is now back in action, representing KKR in IPL 2026.
