The top score by a No. 11 batsman in men's T20Is is 31 not out, achieved by Belgium’s Khalid Ahmadi against Malta in Marsa during 2021. For Test-playing nations, the highest is Obed McCoy’s 23 not out for West Indies against New Zealand in Kingston in 2022. The overall best by a No. 11 in any senior T20 match is 35 not out, recorded by England spinner Danny Briggs for Adelaide Strikers against Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash at Hobart in 2020.
The highest score by a No. 11 in women's T20Is is Florence Agaimalo’s 21 not out for Samoa against Vanuatu in Port Vila in 2022. Ireland’s Elena Tice, aged 15 at the time, scored 14 not out against Sri Lanka in Dublin back in 2013.
Sussex’s Nos. 9 and 10 both scored centuries against Surrey in a recent Championship game at The Oval. Jack Carson made 105 while Ollie Robinson hit 100 before the innings ended at 358 for 9. This rare feat had occurred only twice before in first-class cricket. Jonathan Batty (123) and Martin Bicknell (103 not out) did it for Surrey against Loughborough UCCE at The Oval in April 2003, while Mohammad Sharif (147 not out) and Mosharraf Hossain (104) matched it for Dhaka against Rajshahi in Fatullah in 2011.
There are three instances where Nos. 9 and 11 both scored centuries in a first-class innings. Chandu Sarwate (124 not out) and Shute Banerjee (121) achieved this for the Indians against Surrey at The Oval in 1946. Tanush Kotian (120 not out) and Tushar Deshpande (123) repeated the feat for Mumbai against Baroda in a Ranji Trophy quarter-final in Mumbai in 2024. Nos. 10 and 11 achieved it twice, including Kotian and Deshpande’s record.
The only player to score a triple-century on first-class debut is Sakibul Gani, who made 341 for Bihar against Mizoram in a Ranji Trophy Plate Group match in Kolkata in 2022. Gani has added seven more centuries since, averaging nearly 50, yet remains far from Test selection. His 341 is one of the highest scores on first-class debut.
For over 80 years, Arthur Fagg was the sole player with two double-centuries in a single first-class match, scoring 244 and 202 not out for Kent against Essex in Colchester in 1938. Fagg went on to play five Tests and later umpired 18 matches. In 2019, Angelo Perera joined the exclusive club with 201 and 231 while captaining Nondescripts against Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo.

Zak Crawley’s 267 for England against Pakistan in Southampton in 2020 ended in a stumping. Dave Houghton was lbw for 266 for Zimbabwe against Sri Lanka in Bulawayo in 1994. Bill Ponsford made 266 but was out hit-wicket for Australia against England at The Oval in 1934.
