Irfan Umair, an Indian fast bowler with an unyielding spirit, represents the Mumbai domestic team as a right-arm fast bowler. Renowned for his refined bowling style, his transition from a practice bowler for top players to a game-changing performer is truly motivating. He began his professional cricket journey in India in 2025, representing the Falcon Risers Hyderabad team against the Kolkata Tigers. By October 2025, he had debuted in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai, facing Jammu & Kashmir at the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar. Umair's ambition is to realize his dream of playing international cricket for India. During his early struggles, he resided in cramped quarters, sometimes even at train stations, while taking up various temporary jobs such as waiting tables and preparing sushi in Bandra’s kitchens to support himself. Despite these challenges, Umair never abandoned his cricket training and continued practicing relentlessly. He later joined the MIG Cricket Club and gradually earned a place in the probable squads for the Ranji and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophies.
