Morkel and Mandla Mashimbyi spotted his talent while he worked a sales job at IXU and pushed him into full-time professional cricket at Titans. ‘It wasn't easy for Donovan at the time, when he was a club cricketer working an eight-to-five job.. it took a year or so for him to get his first Titans contract,’ Morkel said. ‘After that, he did really well domestically.’ ## IPL breakthrough with Rajasthan Royals Rajasthan Royals acquired Ferreira for INR 1 crore via a trade and he has since become their go-to finisher, keeping Shimron Hetmyer on the bench. ‘If you reach a stage where you're almost one of the first names on the team list, it gives you great confidence,’ Morkel said. ‘In franchise cricket, he's one of the first picks.’ Ferreira’s progression reflects his growing trust in his own ability and his adaptation to different match situations.
