Experiment with the 2026 NBA draft lottery simulator now
A new 2026 NBA draft lottery simulator lets fans model the upcoming lottery to see projected results.
Draft simulator details A draft lottery simulator has been launched to let users simulate the 14-team draft lottery. The real lottery takes place on Sunday, May 10 at 3 p.m. ET, broadcast live and available on the same platforms. The simulator shows picks in the same sequence as the broadcast, with explanations after each reveal about how results impact the rest of the field. It also updates probabilities in real time, including chances for the No. 1 pick and for teams to enter the top four. ## Custom scenario testing Users can switch to a manual mode to select which team is revealed at each pick, allowing them to test specific draft scenarios before the actual lottery. A mock draft simulator tool will update after the final order is confirmed on May 10. The 14 non-playoff teams are eligible for the lottery, though two traded away their picks. ## Top overall pick odds The odds for each team to secure the No. 1 pick based on regular-season finish are as follows: Washington Wizards 14%, Indiana Pacers 14%, Brooklyn Nets 14%, Utah Jazz 11.5%, Sacramento Kings 11.5%, Memphis Grizzlies 8.0%, Atlanta Hawks (via New Orleans Pelicans) 6.8%, Dallas Mavericks 6.7%, Chicago Bulls 4.5%, Milwaukee Bucks 3%, Golden State Warriors 2%, Oklahoma City Thunder (via LA Clippers) 1.5%, Miami Heat 1%, Charlotte Hornets 0.5%. ## Pick protections and outcomes The Hawks will receive the better of the Bucks' and Pelicans' picks, while Milwaukee gets the lesser of the two. The Thunder will get the Clippers' pick regardless of the lottery outcome. The Clippers could still land a top pick if the Pacers' pick does not fall in the top four. ## Draft schedule and broadcast The 2026 NBA draft is scheduled for June 23 and June 24 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Round 1 will air on June 23 across platforms, and Round 2 will follow on June 24 on select outlets. The draft order, rankings, and lottery rules are available for review ahead of the event.
