New Zealand’s injury return boosts their attack as Kyle Jamieson and Will O'Rourke recover from back issues to reinforce the pace bowling unit ahead of the Test series in England and Ireland. Jamieson, 31, missed all Tests since 2024 due to back problems while O'Rourke, 24, last played in August after a back stress fracture. Kane Williamson also returns after a break from December, having chosen a casual contract to pursue franchise opportunities. Mitchell Santner is unavailable due to a shoulder injury from the Indian Premier League but may feature later in the England series.
Seamer Jacob Duffy will miss the fixtures due to the birth of his first child while spin-bowling all-rounder Michael Bracewell has stepped aside from Test cricket. New Zealand will begin with a four-day match in Belfast on May 27 before facing England in a three-Test series starting at Lord’s on June 4. Ben Sears is included as a travelling reserve for the Ireland game and will join the England tour squad.
