Chelsea FC Reject Multiple Transfer Bids for Defender Josh Acheampong Ahead of 2026 Season

Chelsea FC have declined several transfer offers for young defender Josh Acheampong despite his limited first-team opportunities.

Defender's academy roots Josh Acheampong has been part of Chelsea’s youth setup since he was eight years old. The club has consistently placed him in the highest tier of importance for his future. This status mirrors that of players like forwards Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer, as well as midfielder Moises Caicedo. Despite his standing at the club, Acheampong made just 17 Premier League appearances last season, with nine of those coming off the bench. ## Contract situation unclear It is uncertain whether Acheampong, whose Chelsea deal runs until 2026, has expressed a desire to leave Stamford Bridge. Multiple clubs have been keeping tabs on developments, including Arsenal, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth. The latter retained their interest from the previous summer. Chelsea have dismissed all transfer approaches so far.
